Counselling and therapy are both forms of talking therapy that involves a trained professional providing support and guidance to individuals experiencing personal, social, or psychological problems. However, counselling looks into specific things over a shorter period, whereas therapy includes more in-depth treatment over a longer period of time. Therapy is medium to long-term.

3) How do I know if I need counselling?

It's normal to experience ups and downs in life, and sometimes you may be able to manage difficult situations on your own or with the help of friends and family. However, there are times when seeking professional counselling may be beneficial. Some examples of signs that you may need counselling are; feeling overwhelmed or stuck, your relationships suffering, you're struggling with addiction or self-destructive behaviours, you're experiencing major life changes or experiencing symptoms of mental health conditions.

4) How long do counselling sessions last?

Each session typically lasts around 50-60 minutes.

5) How regularly will I need sessions?

At Time to Flourish, we offer weekly sessions, but this will depend on your circumstances and your personal requirements.

6) What's the difference between remote and f2f counselling?
Our remote counselling service is via Microsoft Teams or Zoom, with a link sent out prior to the appointment day with an agreed day and time suitable for you. The therapist will be in a confidential setting with the hour allocated to the client.
